Svatý Hostýn - Lukov

Basic information about the trail

The Hostýn Hills are a very popular tourist resort, a place steeped in mythical legends. Nature lovers will love this region. We start from Svatý Hostýn and hike through the Skalný rock formation, a large pasture and also the important crossroads of the Hostýn Hills, Klapinov, leading to Lukov, where the extensive ruins of the Gothic castle of Lukov with a preserved pillar bridge and entrance gate are located.

Altitude: ascent 267 m, descent 647 m

Surface: asphalted roads, mostly forest and field paths

Critical points: be sure to follow the liner hiking signs, which may be hidden behind branches or foliage.

Our tip:

By prior arrangement with the castellan, it is possible to sleep in the ruins of Lukov Castle under the open sky or under the “canopies”. You need your own sleeping bag and mattress.
