Cyril and Methodius Route in Austria
Across Austria, trails of the Cyril and Methodius Route follows various pilgrimage trails consecrated to important saints including Jakobus, Martinus, Hemma, Benedikt, as well as the Marian Via Sacra, one of the most famous pilgrimage routes to Mariazell, the famous shrine after which the municipality of the same name in Styria is named.
The route leads through the typical Austrian countryside, through mountains and lowlands, around the famous lakes.
